the four letter word...

It's the most infamous of the four letter word. Love, its true meaning has been lost in society today. Love has been used as a manipulation tactic, which I hate to say has been used mostly in men and it angers to me see, for instance when a guy wants to push things further, he will attempt to love as a way to get the girl to let him go further. Love has also been used as an excuse. I have a lot of people (both male and female) try to make themselves feel better by saying they are in love. Sometimes Love is used foolishly as well. This when people use love when they probably shouldn't have. I don't doubt what the people are feeling, they just don't understand the full meaning, or it's power. If most people would weigh what they are feeling with the definition and power of love most of them would think twice about using love. Love isn't a scary thing, it's a wonderful thing. When get right down to it. Love is a commitment, no matter when, or how you use it. It's meaning doesn't change even if the user doesn't know it's meaning. Why do you think it's used to talk the other into going further than she/he wants to? It's reassuring that it's ok, because they are "committed". It's the same principle with using it as an excuse. We should step back with someone we want say that to, and see if what we are feeling measures with the true meaning. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will all disappear." I believe knows no bounds, I don't limits love. I don't believe you have to reach a certain age to be in love. When love is birthed its wonderful thing, the emotion, excitement, "butterflies" in your gut are awesome. It's what happens when those go away that defines love between two people, and love becomes a choice. We need to step back and decide if we even can love, we have to be able to do any of things that is required to sustain it. It's takes time, effort, emotion, energy, commitment, and sacrifice. I know it's the best written thing grammatically. HA. Thanx for reading. -Joel

Film to TV movies

The other day i was watching TBS and Dumb and Dumber came on, dont act surprised it probably should be a T.V. show as much as they show it now. Anyways, everytime i have seen the movie, it has been on DVD or VHS (yes, i have fossils all through my house). The T.V. verison is way different apparently due to editing reasons. My complaint isn't with editing, but how the edited the movie.
Most of the scenes they had to cut out of Dumb and Dumber were the scenes that made the movie (so i was dissappointed alot), and on top of that they editing was horrible. Its sad when someone can say that its better quality to put blurs on the screens or "bleeps" over the audio. Instead of doing that they edited out scenes, and the edits were horrible. People that don't really know anything about editing, noticed that whatever they did was bad. When you do that it reflects bad on the movie, because all the people know is that the movie quality was horrible. Thank you and Goodnight.

I watched Smallville on Thursday, well if you don't what the movie is about I will give you an over view. The show is a present day verison of Superman's teenage years, actually it started in his highschool year but by he has gotten out of school. Basically the show is Superman meets Dawson Creek, I must admit that it's a really cool and successful concept. Protraying Superman has a teenager of today make is successful, its nerdy enough to get the comic readers but not too nerdy to scare others away.
I was watching it and it has been forever since i have seen it. I watched it and they have been bringing in other superheroes from the comic books and now they are bringing all of them back so they can form a team of superheroes. They are going toward the nerdiness of Superman, I dont think that is such a good idea. If they start to lose the appeal of the show, it wont last very much longer. Keep the modern teenager verison of superman, instead making him more like the comic book Superman. I hate to see a good show concept go bad.

94.5 in the morning.

For the past 4 or 5 days my car has been broke down, and you know what that means......NO CD's FOR JOEL! My sister has been driving me around everywhere (work, school, and such). As annoying as it is having to have your sister drive you around everywhere, i have to listen to her music (talk about annoying). In the morning she likes to listen to 94.5 and the personality on there are these two guys that she thinks is hilarious, and i have to admit they have made laugh alittle. The reason for this post is to talk about how radio is not music driven anymore but personality driven.
I have proof to back myself up, in the mornings my sister will listen to 94.5 in the morning just to listen to the 2 guys but after they are done she switches to a different radio station. See people just enjoy hearing these talk and have fun, not so much the music. It looks as if FM radio is becoming all talk radio instead of music radio. What about us that want to listening to music instead of voices.

I have been taking this co-worker home for the last couple of days. He will turn on the radio and listen to rap music on the radio. I havent listened to the radio on a regular in years, I have heard hear and there riding and in other peoples car. Since I have been hearing it more often, i remember listening back in the day. So I start to compare the radio that I listened to and the radio that is still on.
I have come to the conclusion that radio has not changed much since I listened to it. I didnt really care for it then, and i dont care for it now. All it has become is almost one big commercial, it's a joke. If I am going to turn on the radio i wanna listen to music, not a car salesman, or a pawn shop owner. I would rather pop in one of my CD's and listen to that instead of having interruptings every 10 minutes. Less ad's and more music.

Robot Chicken

There is this show on Adult Swim, which is on Cartoon Network, called Robot Chicken. The show is a stop-motion T.V. show that takes movies and t.v. show and makes fun of them. The show is so stinking hilarious, whenever i watch it i know i am gonna be laughing most of the time if not all the time. They even have actors come and make fun of themselves.
Well see i cant catch robot chicken when it comes on TV because i dont have cable and i am doing other things. All is ok with me because i know that i will be able to watch on monday after work because the post it on there. I love it, the show that i want to see with only one commercial before the show. I enjoy the no interruptions of watching the television shows on the internet. One of the coolest things ever.

New Adventures...

My mom and my sister are a big fan of a show called New Adventures of Old Christine. Its a comedy about a woman that divorces her husband and he starts dating another girl named Christine. So that girl's nickname is New Christine, and the ex-wife is Old Christine. The show is about her adventures of her life, but it is very good. Its starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, which was her most famous role was in Seinfield.
Since Seinfield ended most of the cast tried to continue their career with other T.V. shows, they all flopped. That happens with most actors in television that reach that kind of popularity. The actors gets known as the characters instead of being an individual actors. This show is different than others. Julia has definately got away from being Elaine on Seinfield. New Adventures she is able to be a different character and pulls it off well. The show is great, its funny. It keeps me laughing.

I watched Soap Operas again this week with my mother. I think its just meant for me never to give them props. I have yet to find anything good about soap operas. Last time i posted i said that soap opera are very predictable, and that I could tell you what was going to happen later in that episode or even the week. Something i noticed while watching them was the acting in soap opera's is terrible.
The acting is crazy, I am beginning to wonder if a requirment is that you have to be a horrible actor. Nothing ever seems to be realistic at all. You figured that soap operas would want actors that would show realism or make it seem like real life. Lets say there is a doctor, then something crazy happens. The response of the doctor is unrealistic, it almost seems to take his time. The same stands for everyone else in the show.
